Got two toshiba laptops in the house ones a c660 -10d
and the others a c650-
The 10d keeps losing wireless connectivity and when it does it have it, its running at a snails pace. basically if i run a speed test i get about 0.50Mbps down and 0.84 upload.....
Yet if i run a speed test next on the older c650 i get 10mb down and .80 up which is fine and what it should be.
Now the 10d is fine at my parents and at the place where i do voluntary work and is fine under heavy downloading or any thing like that when there.
But here where i live we have a talk talk connection which is fine for what we want.
Ive been moaning for a while it must be the crappy 5 year old router we had so talk talk duely sent out a new d link one. the 2680......now i know this is a low end one as well but im still having exactly the same problems and only on my machine which is much newer than anything else.
ive updated drivers, ive sent it back to toshiba in case of a fault. They flashed the bios and said there was nothing wrong. Ive reinstalled windows etc. Ive changed every setting i can think of and am now after 4 months pulling my hair out.
Obviously nothing wrong with the laptop as at work its on for about 10 hours a day same as if im at a mates or round the parents.
surely i wouldnt have two routers with chipsets that dont like the chipset in my wireless card?
I would try and change the wireless card but no one can tell me where it is in my machine and its still under warranty.
|I have also tryed a dongle but had mixed results with that as well..
Please anyone with any ideas?
