Hi,
I just started overclocking for the first time, i read the sticky in the forum. And have gone up to 474x7 and x2 on the ram.... im running @ 3.318MHz atm. Thing is when i set my voltage to 1.37500 or what ever it doesent boot into windows. But when i set it back to the setting normal under cpu voltage it does. Temps are around 50 atm with fan on full speed so i think i can get a bit more out maybe 3.6 mark :D running orthos. I have all the voltages set to normal.. but if any one can help me get this set up properly it would be great. Also my ram says it is 900MHz in bios is this ok ? i havent changed any voltages btw :D.

Thanks.

EDIT done a screeny for you all..

Anyone ?.. put the voltage up to 1.3700 i think now. Showing up in CPU-Z as 1.328  booted into windows and running orthos agen.

Please anyone lol ?

I had to drop it too 3GHz and then just raised voltage to the next one above stock although CPUz is saying theres only 1.312V going through the CPU ? Stock is 1.350 yeh ?

Ignore cpuz as it will not read your volts, try the latest cpuz to fix the problem.

Run a mem divider and underclock your ram to take it oiut of the equation, all you need to know is in the stickies provided.

Oops forgot to mention, need to know your ambients and what volts are going through the MB i.e. ram, nb etc

Whats the safest maximum voltage on air for 24/7 100% load use ? Easytune 5 says im running my voltage at 1.360 and CPU Vid at 1.280 ;). If its reading right im basically running my CPU on near enough stock volts at 3GHz :D. Bet i could push for 3.8Ghz + if my ram wont limit me and cooling was better.

Voltage wise on air, as long as you're temps in Orthos are less than 60 or so you can put as much through it as you can, probably 1.5V, maybe more depending on cooling.

Jokester

55 is fine, keep putting more volts through it to clock higher as people have said above ^

just keep it below the magical 60c =]

Think its fine at how it is :D. Not really botherd about a few more MHz dont want to stress my cooling ect. Might get a scythe if they are any good ?.. ;).
