Idoit drivers abound. Yep, two lane country carriageways. There is a nice big hill where I have clocked 48mph and actually overtook a car doing about 30mph, you should have seen the look on their face. Priceless. Normally I can maintain a speed of around 18mph on the flat and I practically hug the side of the road so cars can pass easily but that hasn't stopped me from almost becoming a statistic on a few occasions. I also have a nice gouge in my knee from when a driver cut a blind corner and nearly drove straight into me. Evasive action left me a bleeding wreck on the side of the road. Did the driver stop? What do you think?
The drivers around here cause more problems for each other than anyone else given that it's a 60mph road with plenty of signs to tell you so and still we have drivers toodling along at 30mph, creating huge tailbacks.
