Some questions on water cooling

Well after looking at my options i've decided not to water cool, I now think i'd be doing it more for aesthetic purposes rather than for a cooler CPU.

From what i've been told there is very little difference between water cooling and air cooling, On top of the risk of frying your hardware which is a risk I’m not willing to take.

Until water cooling can produce much much better stats to justify to cost i'm out!

But it can! Who's saying it can't? There isn't a heatsink on the market today that can beat water-cooling because they just don't have the ability to be as big. Water-cooling is really just about being able to move the heat somewhere convenient to put a really big heatsink. Show me a heatsink that can wash out as much heat as a Thermochill PA120.2 let alone a PA120.3. Or even a PA160.1 which is now unfortunately hard to get hold of but fits into the front of many cases quite easily and has unbelievable cooling capabilities.

Yes, it's a lot more expensive to do it well and a Megahelam is one amazing heatsink but water-cooling is so much more satisfying.

Oh and if you're worried abut it frying your hardware, how do you feel about all the plumbing in your house, running water behind your walls alongside your mains electricity? I bet that doesn't worry you.

i think you have been mis-informed on going WC its benefits out number air easy, everything wil be cooler,it allows you overclock higher without doing damaged to your hardware, and its so quite you not know your pc is on...i could go on about the advantages cos there is more positives then negitives for sure

Note that this only applies to water cooling done sensibly. It's quite possible to put a water cooling system together which performs worse than air, thermaltake offer numerous examples.
