A while ago whilst driving home I spotted a windmill just peeping above some trees. Took some exploring to find it, and when we got there it turns out that it's only open to the public on the last Sunday of each month!
Luckily for us, there was one of the group of restorers there painting up some hinges! He let us in and gave us a tour! Outstanding :) I took lots of pictures but have only processed this one so far:

I also went scouting for squirrels again:

And while I was at work the missus caught this bug on her plants! I loved the shot, an auto colour made the greens a little brighter.

I think this was the same day as the windmill shots - just cant remember! The same friend who was with me wanted to play with his new shiny zoom lens, so we went to the reservoir to snap some sailors, and I snapped one of him. I love the branches in this shot. I sepia toned it because the glare of the sun made a very washed out colour.

And finally, a collaboration with my better half :) This was her favourite from the shoot (which I posted here).

Comments and critique welcome :)

Is that the windmill up on the ashdown forest?

Certainly is, Nutley Windmill :)
The tour was great, amazing that it actually still runs after hundreds of years. And the whole windmill pivots on a big post, movable by one man...! Really quite a clever contraption :)

I really want to get some late shots of it with a dusky sky, but you're not really supposed to go there when it's not open.
