So I have a Samsung Evo for my boot/steam/origin drive and two Samsung F4 Eco drives for storage but not wanting to delete my GoPro footage as they are almost full up. 118GBs free space which is enough to make Windows show it as red in my computer!
I'd ideally like to get two new larger drives and remove these and place into a portable hard drive thing that will attach to my Asus router for backups.
However I really haven't got a clue what to go for. 2TB was HUGE when I bought them and that isn't very much looking at the OcUK selection but I still don't know what is a good price/performance range.
Noise is a big no for me and that was the general appeal of the F4 Eco's but I see OcUK don't stock them anymore so what is similar but larger? WD Caviar Green 4TB = £120 (2 years warranty)
yet the Black is £172 for same size but 5 years extra warranty. Would I be paying for the peace of mine in 3 extra years warranty or is the Black that much better?
I'm confused in all honesty any light shed on the matter would be of huge help
