Had an eveing free so had a play with the camera.
i really like macro shots of almost any thing.
i dont have a dedicated macro lens, these shots were taken with the sigma 70-300 with a plus 10 extension tube.
i dont have a flash gun either and feel i would greatly benefit from one.

Im going to get a macro lens next and have my eye on either the Nikon AF-S VR 105mm f2.8G or the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 APO.
which of these lenses would you recomend? or a better lens for around the same money?

also can any one suggest a cheap flash gun no more than £100.

as always C+C welcome good and bad.
forgot to add, the pictures are of baby gold fish, there only 3-4 cm long.

Until your shots, I never really noticed fishes have nostrils!
Why the heck do they nood nostrils when they gulp water like they're breathing for their gills?

thats a good question, i have no idea? must be to do with smell as fish food stinks! and they always know when i put some in the tank.

Fish nostrils are not part of their breathing apparatus - they are not connected to the fish's throat. They do contain an organ called a sensory rosette, however, which is how fish smell. Many fish have acute senses of smell
