Some X850 clocking Qs

Hi, I cant seem to find the bit in ati tool that lets you set a timer. I'm using ati tool 0.24 and I have to either find max core or mem not max overclock.

I've published a 3dmark2003 score so you can see the clocks there. 2003 score

This is not my final score, I still have nortons running in the background and stuff. The processor is at its max stable overclock but the graphics card's still got a bit more. Will let you know how I get on.

1800 seconds (half hour)
3600 seconds (one hour)

Ahhh right I see what you mean now, I thought it was one button to do both core and mem. Will run the tests and get back to you.

I set ati tool like you said then ran find max core and left it go. After about 7 mins the screen locked up. It got to about 677 before it died. If I set the overclock manually then run the artifact scanner will that then run for half an hour and give me the result box you want to see?

So far I have had the card up to 648/621 and it seems stable.

Most I got out of mine when I had it was 695 / 617. That was with a voltmod + watercooling on the core. Just RAMsinks on the memory.

Managed to get 8095 on 3DMark '05 if you wanna try and beat that

Yer mine locked up too, but at 573mhz

If it locked up at 677mhz then it should run stable 665 or so, which is extremely good for an unmodded card!

The ATI X850XT GPU runs at 520MHz by default?

With stock cooler and unmodded card I can almost get 550MHz (increase of 30MHz).

Not sure what type of card you guys have got (mine is powercolor) but 600-650MHz on the GPU is crazy????

mine is powercolor too, usually 600+ you need todo some hardware mods, unless you are lucky enough to have a really good clocker

btw Have managed 570core on this artifact free

Mines a Gigabyte X850XT PE which is 540 589 stock. I tried running it at 666 on the core but it black screened after about a min of running the artifact scan. I went down to 660 but it stopped after 18 mins. Ran it at 657/621 and it passed 30 mins of the artifact test.

As I couldn't get a screen of it doing the max overclock thing I took one of ati tool doing the artifact scan.

I think I will stick with 648/621 for gaming, I've played half an hour or so of BF2 and it was stable but I'll give it a good run in later and see how it goes.
