Some XBMC Questions

I've been spending the past couple of days tinkering with XBMC and it's looking pretty nice now. However, I've got a couple of questions:

- I've been using Metabrowser with Mediabrowser before so should I still use this or are the inbuilt scrapers good enough?

- I have about 10 films that XBMC doesn't recognise so how can I add them manually? Eg, I have about 4 different versions of Dune (TV, Extended etc) and I would like to keep them. I thought they might be added to the library and then I'd go in and change them but they don't get imported.

- None of the fanart is showing up in my movies folder but it is in the tv shows folder. Am I missing clicking an option somewhere?

1. The inbuilt scappers are decent enough. (use the below method if it doesn't pick some up)

If you have some films that XBMC won't find go to
movies -> files
and you will see a list of all files in your library. Find the ones that xbmc won't add and hit the "i" key (information) and you can search the chosen database for it and add the details that way.

2. To add different versions of the same film you may have to muck about with the xml.

3.You have to enable fan art in the settings menu of your library.
Off the top of my head I think its
Movies -> edit source -> ok -> settings -> enable fanart
 
I second ember media manager. I like it better than metabrowser. It will create an nfo file for each movie, and when that nfo exists, xbmc will use it instead of the scraper.

Once movie details are in xbmc, it is a bit of a faff to get it to update them from an nfo file. You can select info, and refresh for each movie, but if you have a lot of movies to do, the easiest way is:
In XBMC, go to the media source for your movies in the library, click Edit, and change the media type from Movies to None. If it asks you to remove all files in this path, select no.
Once you click OK, repeat, and change it back to movies, and when it asks if you want to rescan all files in this path, select yes.

It'll rebuild your media with the latest changes you've made.
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I've used Ember and found it quite good and got all of my movies/tv shows sorted now. I really like the look of XBMC compared to Mediabrowser and so do the Mrs which is the most important thing!
