I can't see how people are saying it's wrong though, look down at your shoes if you are wearing leather and ask yourself where they come from. They were killed to create an object, this wasn't.
Are people really complaining about this while they are eating meet and wearing leather shoes, I don't think people realize how hypocritical that is.

I think you need to look at things in a less literal manner, I know that is hard with the current internet generation where people just prefer to take opposing views. It's about the dignity of the animal, to me not a big problem but to some it is and I can understand that. It's been made into something that has no purpose outside questionable artistic views and is a fun thing, not something to feed or clothe someone.

THAT is why some people have issues, it's not hypocritical, you miss the point I suggest.

But this wasn't even killed in the first place for art, it was in a road collision.
I don't see how it less dignified than being killed for some women to wear for half an hour a year, that's much more wrong than disrespecting an animal by stuffing it and flying it around.
Thousands of animals are killed for pleasure and not many people complain about that.
