First, my car gets stripped of its bumper, and spoiler costing £700 to fix.

then tonight, while out on a hoon, one of my bran new (sub 500mile) CS3 tyres goes flat.... yes, a big metal spike sticking in it. Thats another £130 down the drain then :(

So has anyone else's year been this bad yet?

yeah

Little mishap in the car park and scraped the rear bumper a bit

Oh and i drove by a speed camera doing an indicated 45mph in a 40mph zone. I should be fine, but its that horrible sort of area where you're not quite sure ...

You know what they say about bad luck coming in threes....

Geez a guy at work went away for a weekend to France with his girlfriend, came back to find his 316ti missing the indicators covers, headlamps, wing mirrors and two front wheels plus busted driver and passenger windows. Parked on a fairly busy road too
Flippin thieves.

im not sure whats happened. Maybe everyone is trying to pay off bills after xmas, but car crime seems to have exploded in the last 2 months.

Possibly, noticed someone on my drive a few weeks back, opened the door quick to find some youth testing my car door handles. Asked him wtf was up, he walked off fast and started to run.. Felt like grinding his face into the pavment but realise it'd prolly end in me getting stabbed or beaten badly by his mates lying in wait etc.. or getting carted off for murder lol.

I think i posted a similar thread to this about the same time last year for me!
currently not much to moan about, thankfully!

well, a corroded alloy that needs replacing would be about it atm!

Aux belt snapped on the 182 yesterday and i boiled the engine trying to limp to the garage (water pump had stopped working). On the bright side the aux belt didn't take out the cam belt so no bent valves. Waiting for garage to get back with repair costs, not looking forward to the phone call.

Aux belt was changed a little over a year ago so im not sure what happend, suspect faulty power steering pump.

I guess it may be new car shopping time tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me!

Except that my neighbour saw someone down my drive way, poking around my garage in the middle of the night. Numerous attempts to steal neighbours cars has happened. :(

Yours aren't bad luck, you did them to yourself  :)

Last night all my cleaning stuff got wrecked!!!!

Have a £400 Nilfisk jetwash and a very good car vac in the shed along with a dryer and some garden stuff like lawnmower etc.

Guess what?

Yep it got broke into it, instead of taking the expensive things, also had a new set of £1k Astra SRi 18' Alloys. They snipped all the wires of everything. Leaving all my equipment useless as they have cut everything short.

I mean WTH?? The police were gobsmacked, they broke into 3 others and did the same.

Cant believe it.

RSClio, take them to a small electronics shop, they should be able to fix them. Pointless vandalism :(
