Somewhere in the middle.
I bought some headphones from a supermarket for £40, which seemed a good price for the model.

However I went in last night and saw them on the shelf down again to £24

Is there a way I can return mine or get the money? it was from Tesco.

Yeah I have the receipt and packaging etc.

Should I just make up an excuse or simply mention the price difference.

£24 quid for Sennheiser cx880 is a bargain. Id rather have the £16 in my pocket.

Either, they have a pretty good returns policy Tesco. Just ask for a refund and if asked make up some blurb about not liking how they sound.

Then when that's done go round, pick up the new ones and use a self service machine to pay for it.

Then go home have a poo and don't forget to wipe!

Just say they don't work, it's not like customer services are going to have any device to hook them up to and test is it. Then, when you have your £40 in your hand, walk to shelf, pickup new pair, go to checkout and enjoy your evilness ...

snigger has you walk out the door

I asked a similar thing about buying a graphics card here, it went down in price the week after I bought it but someone said I cannot get it for the cheaper price.

Legally there's no entitlement, it just depends on the shops returns policy. Some shops will allow you to return a product within 12 months for a refund.
