something i really hate about n95

aright first real annoyance with the phone. when i ring someone i either go to contacts or press green button for last calls and then select the person i want to call and ring them. that works all fine but then after the call has ended i then have to go to the menu to either close contacts or log as they are running.

Anyone else get this? It's very annoying as after i finish a call i like to be abel to close phone and done with it.

what difference does it make if the contacts screen is still running? if you're really that hell bent on having nothing running then just hold the menu button and shut it down from there

It is a pain in the ass so to speak, not really used to it tbh but its not such a big deal though. Just takes time making sure you remember to close it, its now like second nature to me.

But when i first got the phone it was off putting, probably too used to my P990i which when you finished using the contacts app would close down automatically so you didnt have to worry about making sure it was closed.

its annoying as it uses battery so having to click menu, then go into either contacts or log, then click options , press up then exit getting annoying as i shouldn't have to and there is no way to not have it do that afaik.

actually maybe im wrong, just quick testing and speed dial doesn't seem to open anything

minimal battery! turning the brightness up on the screen would kill it quicker. or just do as i said and hold the menu button down!

or just chill out

chill out? did i sound angry in my post? sorry didn't mean too i aint angry, just annoyed somethnig i dont like about the phone hoping someone knows a simple solution, which i found by using speed dial.

What does holiding the menu button down do? i hold it and it jsut shows me the open stuff, but then i still got to go to each program and close it down. wouldn't it be quicker to press the menu and then see from there by the little blue circles?

Press the menu button and then press c on whichever apps are running...quickest way to shut down open apps.

yep i had the same on my 6630 so its not just an n95 thing

i dont like the n95, its going on ebay. operating system is soo slow, crashes loads. wlan works when it wants to and battery life is very poor. my old k800i was better.
