It is reboot game which will have life like photo realism graphics with brand new engine and new storyline, the reboot game will have none of CG footages as everything will rendered in real time compared to original 2007 game had CG footages that was not rendered in real time.

Nvidia has also setup its own studio that will remaster old games for RTX the first being Quake 2 And it’s free

The quake 2 rtx thing wasn't developed by in house nvidia it was a 3rd party, and it's not free it's the first 3 levels for free and the rest of the game if you own the original (?)
