So DLSS has been taken out back and put out of its misery?

i dont think they are that overpriced at all i had a look through my old orders and
1 x MSI 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 DVI TVout PCI-E £429.05
Back in 2006 and that wasn't even the top card at the time!!!! the Ultra was
my 2080 i just bought cost me £570 so its hardly a massive jump in price in over 10 years!
There is over 100 RTX rayvtracing games in development - released news at Computex
I don't personally need to see fantastic graphics in a game or the latest features like Ray Tracing even though these are nice, I much prefer quality gameplay.
Most of the latest games lack quality gameplay or replayability so I find myself playing Civ5 or Baldur's Gate 2 on an RTX Titan SLI setup lol.
What on Earth has gone wrong with modern gaming where the gameplay is so poor and the latest thing is to have features like Ray Tracing that barely work.

That's actually more than I thought by two100 ROFL, more marketing BS!
Last August there was a list of 20 odd RTX titles to receive support(some were existing released titles at that time) that they haven't delivered on we've got about 5 RTX to pick from today.
. BFV, SOTR, Metro are the only ones I've paid attention to. Only bought one of them so far however. Agree, it's taking time. I'd rather they focus more on new releases than retrofitting RT into current/older games.I don't personally need to see fantastic graphics in a game or the latest features like Ray Tracing even though these are nice, I much prefer quality gameplay.

I do like the Turing cards as they are better than the alternatives but the price and poorly implemented features are massive negatives.
If NVidia had included Ray Tracing and DLSS into the Turing cards without pushing up the prices (ie the new 2080 Ti cost the same as the old 1080 Ti) hardly anyone would have been too concerned about how good these features were.

Is it just me or does Studio Lightspeed sound like utter desperation? Very little uptake by studios to add ray tracing to their current and future titles, so Nvidia bodge and patch old games with RT to validate its existence?
And unless Quake 2 gets a geometry update too, it's hardly a satisfying selling point for RTX.

Honestly I think we'll be waiting 3+ years to even see 20 RTX games, let alone 100.There is over 100 RTX rayvtracing games in development - released news at Computex

So "super" turned out to be nothing of the kind... ...as most would still buy the slower nvidia product![]()
