You can get an extender to extend the range (surprise surprise) so places that have little or no signal can get some, but the signal strength as a whole? Nope.
Thank you, yes, to extend the range is what I think I should have said.
OK, well it's to get a better wifi connection to my phone in a workshop, I have a connection but would like it stronger and just wondered if I could plug something in to the wall sockets beside me
Thanks.
Just remember an extender will only extend what it's receiving, so place it somewhere where it can get a good signal.

You're confusing an extender with a repeater.
I'm pretty sure there's not really a clear definition of what should be called an "extender" and what should be called a "repeater".
Surely that's just called an access point then?
. How much are you willing to spend? What router do you have at the moment?
nThere's a few here: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/peri...oints-repeaters-and-extenders?sPage=1&sSort=3
Not exactly sure what the best is to go though. How much are you willing to spend? What router do you have at the moment?
