earlier today I unplugged my graphics card and unscrewed the screw, but then when I put it back in it wouldn't go down far enough to put the screw back in. I tried plugging the DVI back in as usual but I didn't get anything on screen. I am using the integrated graphics at the moment and am wondering if anyone has any solutions...

It's a cheap Radeon 6450 and I am upgrading it soon, so I don't really care if the gpu still works I just want to be able to plug the new one in and hopefully not having the same problem.

well, my experience with the pcie slots is that they have to fit just right or else i get no signal. it happened to me with a 5870 where the back of the case was slightly bent and i had to use brute force to fit the card in and it wouldnt work so i had to disassemble the whole system fix the case and put everything back together and then it worked.

but, the crazy things ive done to my last pc's board, as long as there is nothing obstructing your card from fitting in, you should be fine
