Somethings broke

Hi

I noticed that my X1900XT has something broken, this bit is basicly hanging on one side of my X1900XT I tried pushing it back in but it wont go in, i don't know if it's always been like that but I take it's some sort of heatsink

is it possible to get it replaced or something i dont like the fact that it's just hanging on

what is fastening it on?
if its a push clip type thing (technical name ) then that should be easy to replace

You should be able to contact the manufacturer and tell them it was hanging off on arrival, it's the voltage regulator HSF IIRCC

ahhh, i see its the heatsink for the vregs on the card, does it still have the plastic pin that goes into the plastic pushpin thing, if not will be tricky to keep it fastened, just support the back fo the card where the push pins goes through and apply preasure to the push pin, eventually it will snap through the hole, but first make sure neither of the push pins legs are bent.

Just get a couple of cable ties, pop one through the hole in the sink and then though the card, then put the other along it and zip it tight, will keep the sink on until you get a replacement.
