Hi Guys,
I'm wired to my router with a static IP address. O2 Wireless Box TG587n v2
My flatmate is connected by wire to the same router and never experiences this problem.
My network port in my desktop is the default plug on the back of my ASUS P6T Mobo.
Sometimes I boot up, and I just have no internet connection. Though all my network settings say my connection is fine and I can open command prompt and successfully ping websites, my browsers just cannot load any web-pages and Skype and MSN cannot connect.
I have no idea how to trouble shoot the issue. Rebooting my PC does not fix it. To fix it, each time I have to login to the router in my browser and 'restart' the router. Then my connection works. Then the next day or a few days later, same problem all over again.
Here's a screen grab of some info when it's in a non-working state. Any thing else I can provide that would help?
I've also changed my default DNS to 8.8.8.8 to no avail.
