Somthing like Mario kart on XBOX

been looking for a 2+ player game like Mariocart to play on the Xbox with the GF. needs to be simple to play (like mario) and have fun colours etc
she quite liked fable but want's a racing game now! any ideas guys? cheap would be an advantage too

Not at all like Mario Kart but Sega Rally is the most popular 360 racing game with the women I know.

Well if you can be patient the new Bizarre game looks a bit mario kart-y, Blur. Can't think of much current stuff though.

Forza with the Lotus Exige.

That was the only car I could handle properly when I played that game at my mate's house, because I could throw it round and drift it like I was playing Mario Kart.

I remember Viva Pinata: Party animals having kart racing sections. Can't remember if it was actually much good, nor if you could play it in isolation from the minigames since I was rather inebriated at the time but might be what you are looking for.
