ok so basically iv upgraded to a 980ti and a 4 k screen. but something seems of. im getting strange performance issues and crashing. im on windows 10. here is some performance examples
in lords of the fallen at ultra. im getting stuttering and dips at 1440p and im pritty sure i shouldent be getting any kind of frame rate drop with this card. another example is borderlands 3 horrible slowdown and fps drops when physix happens. any kind of physix enabled even at 1080p. witcher 3 not maintaining 60fps at ultra without hairworks and crashing regularly with no error message. the screen will freeze but the game will still be running. the worst thing that happend so far was with borderlands 3. i would be playing it then the screen would go black for a few seconds then come back and then would do it again and eventuly result in freezed screen.i was unable to shut down the game to get back to desktop either as the mouse pointer was invisble and shortcut commands to terminate the game would not work... however trying stuff like emulation on dolphin emulator witch is quite demanding as far as i know..no issues at all. most games run at 4k at 60fps not sure what to do. if anyones got any sugestions id be happy to try them.

Did you upgrade from 8(.x) to W10? Did you have any issues prior to upgrading your OS? Please list specs of hardware.

i upgraded from windows home premium 7 64bit. i did not test games in windows 7 with the new card though. prior to the installation though i did have to do a fresh install of windows 7 beforhand and since then upgraded to the windows 10.the motherbord drivers i just installed from the disk it came with.not the latest from the website.as im unsure what ones i need..there a lot to choose from and i was confused about it..i had someone install the drivers for me ages ago.but allso looking on the site there is no windows 10 drivers for the motherbord so i havent atempted to reinstall windows 10 yet beaucse of this.
