Great shout on Superstition, never get tired of that. At the moment I'm loving Macklemore, always feel happier when I've listened to The Heist. Favourite songs are Can't Hold Us and Wings.
First and last time Slayer are mentioned in a thread about uplifting music
M83 - Outro springs to mind at first, but only because it was on earlier. Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter and Rudimental - Not Giving In as well. There's a good mix for you!
Kid Cudi - Erase Me
Nina Simone - Feeling Good
Rolling Stones-Sympathy For The Devil
The OffSpring - You're Gonna' Go Far Kid
Lost Prophets - Everyday Combat
The Ballad of the Green Beret
Two Steps from Hell - Protectors of the Earth
+ Too many more to list. I also listen to Navy SEAL, Green Beret, USMC, Rangers etc, cadences when I'm running/cycling as they "lift" me.
The last one there for so many personal reasons. I listened to this constantly not long after I met a girl in 1988 who I ended up marrying and am still with to this day (she played the Alto Saxophone and could play the sax part in this to a tee). It was also a constant companion in my Sony Walkman (remember those? ) during my recruit troop when I first joined the army. Awesome tune.
