I've just bitten and pre-ordered this, just wondering if anyone else is jumping on the nostalgia train?

Can't wait mate, sonic 1-3/k were my childhood, this just looks spot on and could really be what sonic needs to get back on track.. then they are releasing another 3d one that looks as if they haven't learnt a thing!

updated it and kept it looking 90's style, very good.

i just hope my eyes and reactions can keep up as they are not what they
were in the 90's thats for sure, but using a gamepad and only needing a couple
of buttons should help me concentrate more on the screen and less on the controller.

I Loved the variety of sonic generations, and especially loved the twist on the original songs, so much so that I started learning how to play them

It feels a little clunky compared to the originals but it's good fun. I think the 3D modern sonic is done really well too. It's not too over the top...

Man... I felt sonic lost the plot big time stylistically. The megadrive games were so cool looking for the time and actually abstract with the poly palm trees & checkerboard ground of the first level being so iconic.

Then they really tried to make him 'cool' and car crashed like that itchy & scratchy episode when they add the hip dog that raps to try and up the rating....

Sonic could seriously do with a reboot and then another really good new game which just keeps it like the originals but better. Mario managed to do it all these years, why not the hedgehog

I will be but for the Switch. I really enjoyed paying the demo last year so its a day one purchase for me.

I'm debating the same pc or switch. Only reason for pc would be 4k but tbh I doubt it makes a difference on a game designed with 16bit in mind

i just hope that it all feels like a proper sonic game, sonic 4 looked like it was going to be great but it played horribly

impressive. i can still hum all the tunes from memory. sonic 3 is probably on my favourite games of all time list

I love sonic 3 & K soundtracks, they are phenominal, really well put together groovy/funk songs. i heard michael jackson had some influence writing sonic 3's soundtrack and theres a lot of comparisons and mash ups on youtube that i always find myself going back towards.

Yea! He was involved but at the end didn't want to be credited as the sound wasn't up to his standards or something. The casino level is pretty much Jam

Last min optimzations to make sure it can run at 4K 60 with full AAx16.
