Sonic Mania

How is Denovo malware? It's DRM which is always a controversial issue, and in this case Sonic Mania's delay seems to be attributed to it's addition, which in itself seems like a silly move. Why delay a game for two weeks losing the launch hype to add costly and unpopular DRM which can now be cracked relatively swiftly? It seems a wrong headed move and to actually cost them more (and also created a news item in itself). How can you leap to the conclusion Denovo is destroying hardware? No-one likes it, especially for the perceived performance hit, but is it actually damaging? I have yet to see solid proof of that, other than for game historians.
the original Creation of denonvo was writting 10s of gigabytes an hour to the SSD/HDD so yes in a way you could leap to the conclusion it would reduce ones lifespan. not sure this has changed but a Game does not need or require Disk thrashing to have DRM activated so in a way.
Whilst it may not be harmful it Very poor implementation That "could" harm hardware and reduce life span.

That would be a HUGE smack in the face if they got rid of Denuvo now. The fact they delayed the game to implement it for them to now remove it would be disastrous. Such a shame because the game itself is amazing.

Why? Surely removing it now would actually spur those who were going to buy to actually do so.

I sold some White trainers from a PubG drop for £22 so picked this up despite the DRM issues.

Pretty damn good game. Stays very close to the original design mechanics of Sonic 1 and 2 with some little twists on those game mechanics thrown in for good measure. Plus some decent boss design.

don't see why not as it was cracked by CPY yesterday.

Mad Max was cracked ages ago, yet it still has denuvo plague in the game.
Not only that, but try & mention it on steam forums & chances are you'll get thread locked, deleted or yourself blocked.

Some continue, but loads got removed.

Guess they just want to make it seem like it was worth all the money they wasted on paying for it
