I have played them all bar the Dreamcast incarnations.

Comparing this to Heroes it is an improvement.

Im not saying its a AAA title, I am just saying it is fun to play for me.

ah, well in that case, it probably is fun, i haven't played it but it'd be hard to make it better than Adventure 2, the sonic games have always had crap cameras, it's just how they are

Sonic adventure 1 and 2 are fantastic titles.
I remember playing adventure 1 and my jaw dropped
when the killer whale starts breaking up the walkway
behind you. Fantasic game

Sonic Adventure 1 was amazing when I first played, it was a little short though, i completely it really quickly (maybe a day, can't remember).

Sonic Adventure 2 got rid of all Free roaming crap and did what sonic should've been. It even had some abstract levels like the space station (compared to the casino levels of the 2d games).

The controls put me right off aswell as the camera.

I think it should be 2D, but with 3D characters - like thr recent Marios on the DS

yeah, Heroes was bad

Make no mistake I doubt it is even comparable to the good sonic games in 3d. I just think its fun.

Not a patch on Mario 64 on the N64, complete that about three times a year since 1998.

The first proper 3d AAA title and it is still the best a decade on. Its quite bad really as it shows the platformer is almost dead, hopefully the Wii will sort that out though.

Long gone are the days when the big AAA title was a platformer.

Bit of a late reply:

Just had a go on the Demo, could not make one jump.

The controls have been tweaked on the final version, the camera still does some wacky things but its much easier to move around in the full game.

60% through Sonic's story and I am still having a blast.

I think Mario Galaxy will be. IGN et al have said how flawless it seems to be - how the Wiimote/nunchuck fit seemlessly into the gameplay etc. Really looking forward to it.

Erm, managed to get up about 500 hours on WoW on the PC, did not touch the 360 at all in Sept or Oct.

I would say its something like a 50/50 split right down the middle at the moment for me.

I do not care about the reviews Sonic got, read them before buying and it draws me back every single time over some title about kogs and peace.

If I find it fun I will play it, regardless of reviews if I like the look of a game I will buy it and no doubt love playing it.

Last game I got that had a high review I played it for about 2 hours then it sat on my shelf for months.

Ultimately I find that I just like simple games with not much to them, the loading times on Sonic are perfect actually as I can reply to people on MSN etc, not bothered about them although the one where it loaded for 20 seconds for someone to say "SONIC!" and then load for another 25 seconds took the biscuit a little!

Even if I have to stand here and say it on my own, this game is amazing fun and a right laugh co-op.

I would give it 6 or 7/10 really, the fun factor I am getting from it easily covers the flaws and lack of polish.
