Has anyone got a BDPS370 or BDPS570?

I've got a BDP-S570 and have looked around and it seems the 370 can stream mkv's over wifi so surely the 570 can too? I've had a mess around with some stuff but I can't get mkv to show up on the media server at all. A long shot but has anyone successfully been able to do this?

I almost bought a 370 on the weekend but from what I read it has dodgy DLNA support and cant even see .MKV files over the network let alone play them, where have you read otherwise? (not having a go im genuinely interested to find out)

I do know the 370 shipped originally with no DNLA support and original players needed a firmware update to activate it, maybe your 570 needs new firmware downloading?

I ran the system update last week, checked for updates today but there weren't any. I was reading it on AV forums that they can be played on the bluray player over wireless network. I tried some mkv samples on a usb stick and they played just fine, but I put a full mkv movie on the usb disk and it couldn't play it.

I could be wrong here, but if you're using Windows 7 you'll need to install the DivX codec pack so that windows media player (the built in DNLA client in windows) will recognise mkv as a valid media type. If you're using XP or Vista, you might have to add mkv into the registry manually.

There are some other DNLA servers for windows you can try that supposedly give better results.

Sorry for the late reply. I've done/tried everything mentioned above already. I'll keep trying and let you guys know if I come up with a solution.

Thanks
