Sony has pointed out that PlayStation Move controllers will be cheaper to buy in the UK than we had expected.

One PlayStation Move controller costs £34.99, one PlayStation Eye camera costs £24.99 and one PlayStation sub-controller costs £24.99.

Note that you do not need the sub-controller to play most Move games, and the DualShock 3 pad can substitute for it.

The Move controller and Eye will be bundled in a PlayStation Move Pack for £49.99.

This also contains a Starter Disc, which offers an instructional set-up video plus playable demos for

  • Sports Champions
  • Start the Party!
  • The Shoot
  • EyePet: Move Edition
  • TV Superstars
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11
  • Echochrome II
  • Tumble
  • Beat Sketchers

Hmm does that mean the Move controller wont have any demos with it? Ive already got a PS Eye in anticipation so was only after the Move controller and perhaps the Sub-controller (will these have a bundle option too?)...

ps3ud0

£50 release price isn't bad. That means online places will probably sell them for about £42-£45

EDIT: just seen £42.85 without even looking. Was just browsing a bargain site for all catergories added today

Seems a bit odd to me that the Playstation Eye and the Sub controller have the same RRP, given the sub controller is just an analogue stick with a few buttons.

Sub controller should have an RRP under £20 IMO.

Most games that look good & support move don't come out until next year, Killzone 3 and Sorcery being the main two for me personally atm. Thats two more than kinect though :p

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition supports Move, so that's one I'm looking forward to.

(Unfortunately, Capcom is being a dick and refuses to patch the standard version under the pretense of 'technical issues')

R.U.S.E. will have Move support, in September I think that comes out. Plus summat else I was looking at. What was it? Erm. SOCOM. No. It was Tron: Evolution in November.

I think though that the sub controller will have many uses.
For instance I plan to use one for things like menu navigation in GT5 instead of a wheel and it might not be that bad when used with the PS3 onscreen functions for playing media. Certainly easier to hold than a dual shock and unlike the BD remote well this also will work with Move....

Yeah I think I might like this as a simple controller.

We should get some great feedback from you lucky sods going to Birmingham this weekend.
