I am trying to get my sony ericsson K810i to workin vista, after some messing around I have got everything working except the one thing i actually use which is file transfer mode on the phone the pc will simply not find drivers for it anywhere.

XP recognised it automatically as a flash drive but vista will not is there a work around for this ?

Thanks
James

Just tried mine (not needed it for ages). And it picked it up fine automatically. No software installed. Can you not see the the flash drive and the phone in explorer?

Just sticking some new tunes on now :)

When you plug the phone in, select "file transfer" from the phone menu and this should allow windows to automatically install the drivers, without the sony software. With sony software you can select "phone mode" and use the phone as a modem etc. Well this is what I do with the k800 anyway.

EVERYTHING works except the flash drives when file transfer mode is selected.

first time I have tried to install it on vista as well

The only way I could get my K810 and Vista to co-operate was to make sure the phone was connected, before booting into Windows. If I connected after windows booted the phone would not allow me to transfer files.

All this after installing the Sony Ericsson suite of course

I have a w800i and it transefers files but disc to phone and the update service does not work.
