its not a bug imo. your sim card just wasn't fitted properly or was mucky or whatever. thats why i suggested removing it before. ive had the same problem with countless phones, usually when using old sims

So you are saying, it misalings after sending two messages properly

edit/ perhap you are right, the sim card can't send in another working phone either

edit/ I did *#*#INFO#*#* and I got the SMSC number out from there which looks ok apart from the ,145 after it ?? not sure what that is doing there?

edit / http://www.google.co.uk/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=3f4ad5ffac46bf92&hl=en These guys seem to have the same problem on nexus one. hmm...

Another issue with mine. Replied to an email earlier (gmail), I sent it 10 minutes ago and it is still sending. Any ideas?

andy was it you who changed the casing to white ? is there anyway to change the screen bit yet ? or does that require a new screen ?

had a minor mishap with mine skidding along the floor at about 20mph earlier...

typically would happen the week after removing the screen protector. have one tiny scratch on the glass and some paint removal

Meh, still think we will be waiting until the last possible moment of Q3. So much for the devs making quick progress on the 2.2 ROM. Gone all quiet over at XDA, just continuous bitching and people "saying" they would be happy to donate. There is also a thread (source is very dubious) saying the reason SE are taking so long is due to getting the phone smoothly with the jump to 16m colours, tweaking the HD etc.

I have got a black housing that I bought, but I am not brave enough to change it over as its not a easy process.

Also you'll need a new touch screen if you want to change the phone into a white one.

I'll send it off to SE once its looks a bit more tatty...

Id take what most people say on XDA forums with a pinch of salt. SE have stated that 2.1 is due before the end of Q3, so thats not long to wait now :D

Can't wait for 2.1 tbh, but does anyone else think the AMOLED screens are much brighter when compared side by side?

Yes they are. The automatic brightness adjustment on the X10 is far too aggressive. 100% brightness on the X10 is actually brighter than 100% on the Galaxy S which uses samoled.

I actually have my phone at 100% brightness the whole time. Battery life has been improved so much, it still lasts a day (even with me using spotify for a couple of hours).

unfortunatly im not sold on my Xperia X10, as much as it really is a great phone the lack of multitouch when it comes to playing any of the emulators available on the phone, along with Zenonia im afraid its too big a feature for me to go without.

i must say though for people who are looking for a decent android phone with a great camera it really is great, it just doesnt fit all my needs.

luckily 3 were very good about this and i will be getting a Samsung Galaxy S delivered on monday as a direct replacement, also they have no problem with me using the phone as my own till monday as long as i remove my sim card, all my photos and numbers, so im very pleased (even though i was orignally planning on a HTC Desire it seems the Galaxy S is on par if not slightly better)

No, no and no (but it is a confusing topic due to so much contrasting information out there). Even if it does - SE will lock down due to the possibility of getting sued by Apple (I think).
