does any 1 know why i have a little 'R' above my signal strength in the notification bar top right of my screen ?

That means you are roaming on another network, which costs money.

Sometimes is used to come up on my G1 but I wasn't actually roaming as I had it turned off in the settings.

Double check your mobile network settings to make sure you have it turned off.

doesnt sound good not sure how i've turned it on, or how to turn it off for that matter

i've found data roaming setting but its off...

Inserting the USB did nothing, no light, no change in the battery indicator and the phone didn't turn on. After they had refused to fix it, I got one of the tech's at work to have a poke around and resolder some of the connections, We got it to the point where it would turn on the phone if you plugged it in, but it still wouldn't charge (no LED, no change in the battery icon).

My wifes did a similar thing this morning, just turned off she thought the battery had died and plugged in the charger, nothing happened, power button wouldnt work or anything, took the battery out and it worked fine, this afternoon mine did the same :| took the battery out put it back in and it worked, but then said no sim card and no sd card :| stupid phone, seems ok now after fannying around with the sd card and sim card.

The USB connector in mine was phyiscally broken though, it had come away from the PCB (lifted the tracks off too). Was probably a manufacturing default as we couldn't really see how you could do that kind of damage without breaking the whole connector off (only the signal connections were broken, not the shield around the connector).

Ahhh sorry I didnt read your whole post :P

Hi, just a couple of questions in relation to the Experia X10 I recently got:

1) Can you get an FM transmitter for the Experia X10?

2) You have your messaging and email icons, why do emails appear in the messaging inbox as well as the email inbox? This has happened on a few occasions and it just clutters the messaging inbox plus you can't view the email in its entirety in the message screen anyway.

3) Do you need any anti-virus etc for the phone?

Thanks in advance for your help.

1/ No. However, the Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth headset has FM tuner built in to it.

2/ They are separate, I have never had a email go into messaging. They both have there own applications. Are you talking about timescape?

3/ Not really.

I don't know anything about Timescape. All I know is that emails seem to be comming through in the messaging inbox and not the email inbox.

I'm confused. How have you managed that!?

I have just double checked and mine are completely separate.

When I am in MG, I go to device and see all my songs in front of me. A few of them weren't tagged properly - so clicked properties and filled in track/artist (also album art). Once I have done this, the song(s) automatically re-order in the list but when I go to my phone - nothing has changed.

Have you transferred it over to your phone again?

This phone has to be one of my best purchaces, battery life could be better but i cant have everything! :)

Any idea if we will be able to install Apps on to the SD with the next update?

That feature is on 2.2 I think, next update for X10 is 2.1. I also hear the Apps2SD (as a feature on 2.2) is somewhat restricted

Not sure then bud :(

I edit most of mind in Media Go and then transfer it across to the phone.

And that works fine? Maybe I should copy them over to PC, edit and transfer them back over. I used MP3TagPro to do my songs but the trial is over now.
