Andyd...

7. Enjoy a debranded handset or if you are using Nordic firmware re run SEUS to update to R1FB001.

I dont understand how to do this.
I already debranded my handset. I have just installed the nordic files but it wont find R1FB001 using seus ??

Do I need to download more files.
Cheers :)

Ahh I had to wait till after midnight it seems before it would check again properly ??

Found the update but it won't let me install it. Error..make sure your battery is full charged before continuing. Too late now. Will try tomorrow.

Ahhhhh the battery is mega poor on this :(

Switch to GSM mode only to see if it makes a difference.

I've just done that and my battery use is not <1% on standby. Obviously the internet is slower but I can live with that until its fixed on 21st june

Thanks I have just downloaded a battery app that tells me the % and a few other things. First time I have had a phone turn off during the night after a day’s usage woke up and it was dead. The USB is much slower to charge than the plug one; well it seems it to me?

Whats actually using up the battery is standby processes like cell standby mode not actually apps so I found no improvement when I turned them off.

Switch to 2g and tell me if you see the difference.

If you have used the Nordic R1FA016 files, if you re run Sony Ericsson Update Services it should say a update is available which is R1FB001 and proceed with the update. If you have used the UK R1FA016, it will say no update is available.

I hope this helps.

Its basically data side of the phone that's using all the battery. As as example you can use APNDroid and turn off the Data and I have had around 3/4 days from the battery.

This is reported as being fixed in the forth coming firmware.

Well I'm still using data on 2g mode (Edge or GPRS) , push email is still on for continuous connection so its not the data from what I can see

It seems to be a problem with the APN and its not letting the phone go in to a sleep mode.

If you use APNDroid and turn the APN completely off you battery life will improve massively
