Didn't the videos released a few weeks ago have MT for games (I might just be imagining it)? I know now not to trust anything SE say lol. Are Apple not going to sue them? Why the sudden change of heart? So Andy - are you going to the OcUK guinea pig ;)?

I always suspected that the X10 has had multi touch. Its a good thing SE are starting to listen to customer comments and they are starting to be a little bit more open.

As per normal, ill be the OcUK guinea pig :p

god damnit

was going to try the custom rom but i just broke another USB port. this time it was my own fault as i bloody stood on the the cable whilst it was plugged in

now to get the usb to function i have to hold it in place

SE warranty dept are going to think im having a laugh. especially when i send it back with dubious firmwares on each time

Since filling out all the forms {with some help from Andyd ;) ) to send my back it hasn't re-booted once
Bloody phone :D:D

So when do we need to update the firmware again, hopefully not soon as getting mine changed was a ball ache :(

It should be a simple process using SEUS to update the handset, rather then the hassle of changing the firmware from before.

However, as with any firmware update you'll probably need to re-root the handset if you have done so.

I've just tried to to the software update using the SE PC companion. It said there was an update available, downloaded it, told me to turn the phone off, wait 5 seconds and then connect the USB while holding the back button. It did nothing but boot the phone normally after around a minute. When I ran the software update thing again, it said the phone has the latest software.....WTF?

Those figures are a bit more interesting when you look at total post count:

Andy - 33% of total have come from this thread
Me - 4.5%
NVP - 11% (though most of yours will come from the car threads you start followed by half the forum flaming you :p:p)
"Andy" - 2.5%
olv (thread starter) - less than 1% (must be less than 50 posts) EDIT - much less than 1% (0.068%)

Anyone tried the custom ROM yet?

HUH ?

for a start you can buy the handset for £200ish

for seconds. it was ALWAYS available for free on £30 contracts even at release. many operators even did it for £25 contracts

for thirds sony does not = sony erricson

Sony are overpriced

Coming from an iphone owner, that is comical.

Good luck finding tgat phone for free fir less than forty a month

£25 per month for mine, maybe I should try the lottery next with my new found luck?

Here's an idea replace "Sony" with "Apple" and post both of them in the iphone 4 thread and you'll be spot on!

:p
