Hi folks, just a couple of questions in regards to the above phone:

1) Can you lock the keypad like you can with the Samsung phones
2) Just what do you do with the 512 Memory Stick Duo Adaptor.

I have always used Samsung mobile phones before but I was looking to upgrade to a phone that had MP3, bluetooth and video capabilities. The above phone was recommended so I went out and bought it on pay as you go so hence the above questions. I don't really know what to do with this 512 Memory Stick Duo Adaptor that came in the package and I can't find a way to lock the keypad.

TIA folks.

To lock the keypad it's * then the top right hand button on the keypad.

The adaptor is for plugging the memory stick into a card reader on your PC so not vital for the phone itself.
Any other questions and I'm sure I'll be able to help as I've got the same phone. :)

Use memory to store songs?
Mostly yup, you can use the phone memory as well if you want.
I also store photos, videos and games on there, which is why I think I need to upgrade to a 1gb stick soon :o

Thats something I forgot to ask, going through the phone I noticed some Robbie Williams tracks and pictures  , presumably this must be some sort of promotion between Sony and Robbie W. I have deleted the track but I can't delete the 2 pics of him as they are protected files  .

Can they be unprotected and deleted?

I say one thing though when I discovered this I wasn't best pleased.

TIA.

If it's not letting you delete them then afaik there's no other way of doing it. I know there's a few files that are seen as vital for the phone (when they're not really) so it protects them instead :/
What network did you get the phone on out of interest?
Mine didn't come with any network branding so it didn't have anything like that.

I got my w800i this afternoon, what a great little phone it is. Nice to get the memory stick included. Much better build quality than my Motorola V500 which went pap!

If anyone else bought this phone new did it come with some music all ready on it? e.g. Jem?

Mine came with Crossfade, Jem, Maroon 5, Omarion, Susie Suh and The Lashes. Anything else will have been added by the networks.

I dont really use internet on phone as you say its pricey, on my very old motorola v3 I use to play hang man on there which cost a lot a while ago!

Q: when I put a .Jar file on my phone from my pc the phone doesn't reconise it, how do I get the phone to pick up the game?

You need to install it :)
Put the jar file into your MSSEMC\Media files\other folder. Then unplug the phone and go to Other in File Manager, should be an option then to install the jar file.
Once it's installed you're fine to delete the jar file.
