I read that as him being happy he'd swapped his 360 for a PS3, Just in time for a multiplat game to become PS3 only

I read an article a while back that said Sony wanted it to be a shining example of how well old films could be converted to their partially owned blu-ray format. Basically i'm expecting Blade Runner: The Final Cut levels of anal attention to quality

I'm sure I heard talk of a Wii version too, with the obligatory wiimote proton pack controls. I guess that's dead too, not that I'm fussed.
I reckon Atari are in a pinch atm and Sony got in there first to lap up the exclusive, I'm sure Phil Harrison probably oiled the wheels a fair bit.

Ghostbusters will hit 360, Wii and DS… eventually

Atari confirms that non-PlayStation SKUs will hit shelves before the end of the year

Ghostbusters on 360, Wii and DS will be published before the end of the year, Atari has told MCV.

Concerns were raised over the non-PlayStation editions, following news that Sony had picked up the rights to the PS3, PSP and PS2 versions of the game.

An Atari spokesperson told MCV: “I can confirm that Sony will publish Ghostbusters on PS3 and PS2 on June 19th, and that the Xbox 360, Wii and DS versions will be coming from Atari later in the year.”

“There is currently no confirmed date for the game.”

Sony is the third publisher to pick up Ghostbusters. The title was previously owned by Vivendi before the company was bought by Activision.

Oh well, another few months to wait then. Should be worth it, probably end up with both the 360 and PC version to play with different friends!

Had I still owned my 360 I would've been dissapointed to hear that Ghostbusters be a PS3 only game.

But signs are once again pointing to the otherwise.

Been mentioned earlier but i guess its more to do with Sony owning the rights to the film and the fact the PS3 is lead console. Perhaps if Atari held onto it so all versions was finished it wouldnt release close to Sonys big push for the GB franchise with its BD release and lose sales. Sony has already delayed the BD release once due to this game being delayed, perhaps it was get this game out on time or we'll charge you X amount more to use the GB name etc. Probably also helps if the ex head of SCE works for the company you are dealing with

It was only dropped by Activision because it's not a franchise that can be milked to death year after year.

For starters they don't always look better.

Secondly, PS3 is the lead development platform, when this is the case you often find the PS3 is the better performing platform/things are identical between the PS3/360.

MrPointyHead and SuperKaylo over at Microsoft have both confirmed that Ghostbusters is still coming to Xbox360, just a couple of months after the PS3 "timed exclusive"!
