I'm agreeing with most people here, i cant see the PS3 flopping. There are too many fanboys.

There were legions of SNES fanboys, and MegaDrive/Genesis fanboys for that matter.

My only problem with that is for years people stuck with nintendo and sega, but what happened people jumped ship to playstation so, although most probably will
it's is not a certain thing.

Well obviously if Volvo started producing Turds with four wheels and seats people will have no choice but to look elsewhere (Although the Dreamcast was certainly no turd). Nintendo Fanboys in particular would never ever jump ship, just like a true football fan would never stop supporting their team no matter how many times they lost.

I didnt see people going on about ps2/xbox as a cheap way into dvd playing like the ps3 is going to be with blu ray movies

Like the PS3 is GOING to be? So isn't yet? How do you know then, if it hasn't arrived yet? I know of a few people that were interested in the DVD aspect, but £300 was off-putting, so they got a cheaper player.

Funny thing is though, Sony are being open about it being there, MS are trying to give it 'total gaming immersion...' but the next time u hear them they say 'we want this at the heart of the living room, blah blah blah' when most folk are still keeping there XBMC

Most folk? Who are these "most folk"? I know one person (of many with Xboxes) with XBMC, he's keeping it for the ease of playing stuff on his TV.
