Sony PS3 in 3D?

Isn't the marvel MMO coming to consoles? then of course theres Huxley. Im sure its a genre that will become very popular on consoles eventually, but at the moment theres only a few.

First-Person games are popular anyway. Strategy games and the such aren't as people want to play those on a PC, it's why C&C3 and Lord of the Rings have done poorly so far.

I mentioned Huxley because its MMO though, something which we haven't seen on consoles. As for RTS i agree, however having watched the gameplay video for halo wars i think that is set to change all that, looks FANTASTIC!

Absolutely and it could be a huge swing in fortunes for the genre, however this is because Halo is a console brand, born on consoles with more console fans than PC fans.

Well, i'm sure i'm not speaking for just myself here, but I think that the FPS is a genre that just shouldn't be played on a console. It's just not set up right for it.

Nothing can beat a good mouse/kb set up from a desk set-up for that kind of thing.

although mouse and keyboard is better you're wrong in saying that FPS shouldn't be played on console. As long as the game is designed for a gamepad (which most are) then its a very good control system (360 here, not PS3) Plus i can do stuff with my 360 like have 4 mates round to play some halo or have a big lan night with 16 player matches that just aren't really possible with pc. Im a big PC player and it'll forever be my number one go to machine for single player experiences but consoles have it for multiplayer imo.

Totally disagree with you here, I have a hunch you just had one too many bad experiences with joypads, is all. You're definitely speaking for a tiny minority. The genre is far more popular on consoles than on PC, believe it or not.

While I agree that mouse\keyboard is the perfect setup for FPS's, they can still be thoroughly enjoyed on a gamepad, infact I enjoyed CoD2 far more on the Xbox360 using the 360 controller than I did on my PC with keyboard and mouse.

For the faster games though like Quake, Keyb\Mouse is still king.
