Sony Vaio: seperate CPU speed and fan speed control?

Does anyone know if its possible to take control of the cpu speed and fan speed independently?

Because I have a 5step "sony" control right now and its better than nothing but the laptop always seems to run really hot, and increasing the fan also increases the cpu speed which does nothing for the problem.

If i could lower the cpu speed and raise the fan speed to cool things better, that'd be good.

Does anyone know if this would be possible? And if so is there a reliable app that does it

did u verify those temps in the bios?

ive had mad temps higher than that from speedfan and when I checked in bios it said something totally diff....

woah indeed, those temps are well hot, their is a way to configure the fan speed although ive never used it

touching the cpu side of the laptop confirms those temps arent far off

the speedfan program is not letting me control the speeds though
