I loved my old Vaio back in the day and yearned for another. I recently acquired a new old stock Sony Vaio VPC-Z219ME from 2011.

Sadly the SSD's are dead - Are there any suitable replacements for this model? I had a look but it doesn't look as simple as I originally thought - are there any drives that could be swapped in?

Many thanks in advance. :)

I have a slightly newer one from 2012 which is still in good working order and running Windows 10.Best Laptop I've owned to date but not needed a new one since the Sony :) . Had plenty others (other brands) before that which usually lasted 2-3 years before issues developed. I seem to remember reading something about the drives being Samsung 840's. Actually might be 830's as I don't think 840's were released until 2013. I have no idea if would be a simple swap however, or if they're custom manufactured for Sony.
