Sony Vaio?

Hi All,

I am looking for a new laptop!! Its gotta be pretty beefy, I use a lot of 3d and editing software.

I thought I'd ask pro's like you for advice. My budget is only around £1100 though (Maybe abit more if it was really good).

I have spotted this for £1100 and was wondering what you all thought of it or do you know of any better laptops for around that price.

Remove the competitor link before the mods descend and avoid Viao's as they are over priced like most Sony products.

Was a general comment, I don't know anything about the specific product. In my experience though Viao's have always been over priced for what they are however that doesn't rule out the occasional bargain.

its a Sony VAIO F12 Z1E/BI / Intel Core i7 740QM 2.93GHz / 8GB / 500GB / Blu-ray / 16.4 inch / Windows 7 Home Premium / Laptop / Notebook / Black

for £1100, does that seem like a good deal? Are there any other laptops at that spec for that price?

Personally the short battery life doesn't bother me, but the comments about build quality do. Appreciate any more comments anyone might have

Has anyone used a HP Envy 17Or also ACER Aspire 8943G? Are these better than the Sony Vaio? Which one would you pick?
