Here I will link you guys 2 videos with the same content. One was rendered in sony vegas, the other one on adobe premiere:

Sony -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLYgaXJLMx8
adobe -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWdvFGRDh3I

Both videos are mp4 rendered in 1080p and 60fps with 20mb bitrate...

Now explain me why does vegas produce such ****y 60 fps videos? You can clearly see the diference on how Premiere is much more smooth...

Thoughts?

Because Sony making a video editing suite is like Adobe making a camcorder.

Vegas is just a clever brand marketing software. Someone at Sony thought "Hey we sell millions of camcorders, if we have a little advert in the box with free trials to our editing program we can make some serious money here!"

I wouldn't touch Vegas for any valuable production.

Adobe framerate is variable, sony's is constant.

At first i thought it could be adobe doing some fancy frame blending but then it shouldn't affect anything if source framerate matches output framerate.

You also need to turn on vsync. You're rendering over 250 fps in game which is going to wreak havok when it comes to fitting it into 60 frames.

putting vsync on is gonna be a disadvantage when playing online so NO.

Also if adobe is producing smooth videos there is no reason for vegas to not. I've seen videos from vegas users and its smooth there is smth wrong with my vegas, I just dont know why and I was hoping some of u had any idea.

Have they added VFR support to Premiere now? I assume your source video is variable and Vegas is converting it to constant, which might explain the change in smoothness.

Enabling vsync and having 60fps constant frame video would make your workflow easier, but if the advantage of removing it is vital to you then you need to find another way. Maybe re-encoding the source into something more consistent before using it in Vegas would fix it.

I'm assuming he is using a 30 day trial and doesn't want to pay for Premiere.

Have you tried asking on the Vegas support channels why it's not performing as you wish? They may be able to give a more definitive answer on the cause and then you can make a decision whether you need to purchase Premiere or not.
