exactly as above - the original link just made me confused, thought it was totally pointless - the "redesign" looks much better but even so not really my taste

Heard about the 4 being "=" to death in Asia, intersting theory (that Sony will just use this logo instead)

If they just use the logo it will be very much like Prince, and everyone will have to refer to it as the console formally known as Playstation

It's Sony trying to be hip and cool again... how incredibly patronizing. Anyone remember their PSP advertising? There was some amateurish website by Sony, and it really took the **** out of gamers' intelligence.

When I saw it I immediately imagined the ball part as a world/earth. Just imagine how naff that would be, playstation all over the world.

This could just be a logo to go on a website or to represent Playstation online or something. There is nothing to say that this is a new logo to be plastered on the console.
