Sorry another PayPal question…

Sorry it’s the daily omg PayPal/Ebay thread...

I’ve just bought a phone off ebay and it won’t let me pay by bank transfer into PayPal as usual, it says that I can only use an e-cheque or credit card.

I changed my bank card on PayPal just before I tried to pay, so have I done something to my account? Or is it possible the seller doesn’t have an account or has a problem with theirs?

so you already have a card on paypal? what card is it? when you try to pay it should just take it straight from that card, why would you want to transfer it from your bank first???

I always just pay directly into PayPal from my bank account, I noticed my debit card on PayPal was out of date so updated it.

ok well if its updated, if you just to go pay the item, it shoud just take it straight from the card, ie. that bank account

Yeh that is what usually happens.

But when I go to complete the purchase it says I can only pay by e-cheque or credit card.

IIRC it's something to do with verification.

Can you not just pay via your debit card?
