Im gonna keep it short and sweet. It will be used with an 8800gts, so resolution/performance will not be an issue. Will eventually be teamed with a 19" in dual monitor setup. and the "24 will be used for the following.

Primary:
Video/Photo editing
3D modelling
Movie Viewing
TV Card Viewing
Preferably HDCP (want to connect a 360/ps3 over time)

Secondary (not as often/important):
COD4
Bf2 (don't ask)
other future games (prototype looks fun :p)

Any recommendations?
i understand a VA panel will be best for me due to the Better colour reproduction, and the high(ish) response times wont bother me much in the games tbh, my eyes r pretty useless so i may not even notice ghosting.

Ive researched into it myself a fair amount so dont flame me please :) Theres just so many bloody Different types with hard to remember Model numbers etc, and i can never seem to find what the panel types are in product descriptions anywhere??

Wanna aim for around £250.

Thanks in advance :D

The bit about the PS3 wasn't there when I posted. He obviously edited it twice, though I doubt you thought of that.
Yes it was, I read the topic when it had one reply, we're dragging this off topic a bit so let's get back on it.

lmao

come back to check for replys and we have a lil Jeremy Kyle setup on the go :P

hmm, what if i was to push my budget up to £300?

what would be my best options then? i dont like the sound of using some other software/cable adaptor etc to transmit HD through DVI/VGA, so hdmi input as standard is preferable :)

I was gona go for the OCUK one, but after realising that eventually i WILL need HDMI input decided against it, but apparently the OCUK one is virtually a copy of a 'Yuraku' monitor, with definite VA panel, and HDCP (which means hdmi input in the back? i think?).

PS. I only edited my thread once, and when i came to edit it, no-one had replied.

in the future if i wanted to connect a ps3 or 360 to the monitor, obviusly id have to use DVI, but would i not lose any quality as DVI isnt designed for HD?

plus, with reference to audio output, is it possible to just hook whichever console i have up to my stereo AUX input like i do with my pc?

i was just told in another forum that a 360 will work fine with this, but a ps3 wont, due to the lack of 1:1 pixel mapping.

Any other monitors under £300 that have
VA panel
1:1 pixel mapping
24"
HDMI input

Thanks in advance

You can pickup the awesome BenQ FP241W for £399.99 from ocUK. That would be my choice as from everything I've seen and read, it's a fantastic monitor. :)
