I understand what nokkonwud is saying, but I think we have to take the whole situation with a pinch of salt. We all know that some people are ugly and some people are not, some are nice to know and some are not, which usually isnt particularly linked to how they look.

However, the only way we have to judge if/how much to bid on this girl based on the ebay listing is her self biased rough biography and pictures, she's not a looker, she's already lost half the battle.

It is not an original idea. It has been done before and IMO is a bit of an embarrassing way to make money, effectively selling yourself, and also puts her on some sort of weird pedestal. "You can pay to hang out with me" kind of attitude.
