Ok so i performed a back up in march. If i restore using that will it get rid of windows 10? I know i can roll back but i think it may just leave more problems etc.
GWX Control Panel is great for preventing this.
Why would anyone not want windows 10i updated my mums 3 year old laptop and its runs really nice and with no issues

oh wow... I dunno how any can continue to defend MS at this point.
They really need to start getting some people with better broad perspective in the project leadership positions.
Probably explains the sudden increase in people claiming Windows 10 installed itself and they didn't click on anything to agree to it.
+2 for GWX Control Panel. I use this on my HTPC which needs to stay on Windows 8.1. The official registry/policy settings don't disable everything.+1 - using this on all my machines at the moment and no problems
That's what was a shock today. Not once have I accepted anything to say I wanted win10. I got pop ups about it but always just closed the window.
You were probably nobbled by the fact that Microsoft changed the close button behaviour to dismiss the window and accept the upgrade...
