Just ordered the crucial C300 64GB http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/par...AG-1G1&AID=10401721&PID=1546795&SID=151434953 with 8% cashback
1 - Are there any bios settings I need to check/change. Is this done before installation?
2 - Does the SSD come formatted or do I need to format it prior to use?
3 - The SSD will be my main drive (W7 installation). At the moment I am using a Maxtor 500GB HDD as my C drive. I have taken an Acronis TrueImage backup. Can I just transfer this image to the new SSD or will there be problems such as alignment? Should I do a fresh Win7 install on it instead?
4 - I am using a P6T deluxe V2 X58 chipset mobo. I've just installed an Asus u3S6 2 * USB3 + 2 * internal SATA 6G PCIe card. Should I just connect up my SSD onto this card straight from the start or should I first connect it up to the first mobo sata port until it is up and running with Windows 7?
5 - Would I need to adjust any bios settings to tell it to boot from the SSD drive because it is connected to a PCIe card and not the mobo itself?
Many thanks
