Sound blaster z control panel issues

Hey guys, i have a sound blaster z with some roccats and some 2.1 speakers, nothing fancy or whatever. Does anybody know why the control panel sometimes hangs or refuses to launch on occasion?

Ive tried everything, even a fresh install.
Also, if anyone else has the same speaker/headset config as me, got any tips for getting the sound to a sweet spot, because i have to constantly balance it out when i switch from one to the other, often having the game volume dropped to its lowest level and it can still be loud.

Sounds like a bad install or a faulty card. Did you try the latest drivers?

Things to try:-

Try uninstalling the card, then using driver fusion to remove all traces of the creative driver and reinstall.

Try moving the card to a different slot on the motherboard.

Disable onboard sound.

If none of these work, try the card in another computer and see does it work ok. If it does the same thing in the other computer then you know you have a faulty card so return it.
