Sound Blaster Z - random sound changes?

The card should not be doing anything of the things you describe.

RMA it.

I think I'd have to agree, I've had my Xonar DGX, Sounblaster Z (OEM) and Xonar Essence STX in the slot immediately above the graphics card and I've never heard any interference at all.

Interference can be caused by anything and I wouldnt be returning the card for just that. He could get a new card and still have the same issue, no, It's all the other problems he is having as well

RMA the card already!!

I returned the SBZ... Though they took a month to send me a replacement (it wasn't overclockers.co.uk), and I had to throw a few emails to get them to remember it. I've just installed it and THE BUZZING IS STILL THERE

So either it's the same card or the problems on my end.

I purchased mine from a competitor and Creative advised me to RMA it.

I did this and received a full refund. It seems the software and hardware is still a bit iffy. The best card I've had was my Asus Xonar Xense, but my current mobo has onboard 128dB sound which frankly is amazing, if not a little quiet due to no pre-amplification.
