Sound Card Options - Line In

Hi All

I have a Audigy original card and untill recently it has been fine. But now when playing my guitar through the Line In, when I strum hard the sound is crackling and sounding awful.

Games, Music and DVDs sound fine so im pritty sure its just the line in port messing up.

Can anybody suggest a replacement for me ? Need a sound card with a good line in and for games etc to sound good also.

I was thinking about getting the M-Audio jamLab as it offers a Guitar Input via USB (found it for £40)....open to any suggestions but cant afford more than £50.

The M-Audio is a good choice.

Creatives seem to have taken the reign for gaming, but for serious Audio, they are always lacking.

sorry to bump this up, but i am wanting the same thing...My line in on the front bay box of my audigy2 is crackly and hiss and latency of about a second on Guitar Rig and Smplitube.

Does that M-Audio jamLab solve the problem then please ?
