Somewhere, in a field in cheshire... alright!
Hello all,

I've had a problem with the power connection on an Asus Xonar D2X for a while but now I can't get the card to work at all unless I hold the power cable to make a proper connection, as soon as I let go the sound cuts out. Not sure what I can do.

Has anyone had this problem and come up with a solution?

Thanks

Iggy

Check that all the pins in the power connector are all the easy into the plug.
They should clip into the plug but one might have slipped out, so when you plug it into the card it pushes it out the plug and doesn't make contact.

I've taken the card out and connected the power, I've taped it with electrical tape and put the card back but still having the same problem. When I'm holding it to get it to work it only takes the slightest movement to cause it to stop again.

All the pins are connected and I've the seen the little clip that should hold it in place and it looks like its connected properly but wont work.
